Traditional Bisquick Rolled Biscuits Recipe

Homemade biscuits are a Southern Tradition. Getting that delicious homemade, fresh-from-the-oven taste is easier to make than you might expect using our Traditional Bisquick Rolled Biscuits Recipe.

Materials

  • 4 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ Mix
  • 1 1/3 cup Buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Butter melted
  • Extra melted Butter for brushing on top

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450°F
  • Add Original Bisquick™ mix, buttermilk and sugar to a large mixing bowl. Mix well.
  • Add melted butter. Stir until soft dough forms.
  • Flour a large flat work surface. Turn prepared dough out onto floured surface.
  • Knead dough about 20 times.
  • With a floured rolling pin, roll dough out to 1/2-inch thick or thicker, as desired.
  • With a cookie cutter, cut dough into 2-inch rounds, or preferred size.
  • Place dough circles close together on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Brush tops with generous helping of melted butter.
  • Place in preheated oven and bake for 8 - 10 minutes, until browned.
  • Remove from oven and immediately brush with another generous amount of melted butter.
  • Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
