Benedictine BLT Sliders are a modern, heartier, more casual take on traditional Kentucky Derby Benediction Sandwiches. Enjoy these sandwiches all Summer when good locally-grown tomatoes are plentiful.
Benedictine BLT Sliders
Benedictine Spread, made from cream cheese, cucumber, and onion, is a Kentucky tradition. The bright green spread is usually the filling for one-ingredient tea sandwiches – And you still see those today in restaurants, tea shops and at parties, especially Kentucky Derby Parties.
Those sandwiches are delicious. But we like our sandwiches with a bit more “heft”.
So we combined this Kentucky Favorite with the All-Time Southern Favorite – The BLT (or Bacon-Lettuce-Tomato) Sandwich and then packed it all into a Slider Bun for a treat everyone at your party will love.
